Over a decade of hands-on expertise in electrical systems and solar energy — designing, installing, and training the next generation of green-energy professionals across East Africa.
Raziq Muga Swaleh is a seasoned Electrical and Solar Energy Professional with over two decades of hands-on experience delivering high-impact technical solutions across Kenya. A dual-licensed electrical and solar PV specialist (EPRA C1 & T2), qualified educator, and institution-builder, he combines deep field expertise with a forward-looking commitment to clean energy and skills development.
In 2024, Raziq founded Adeskills Institute Kenya — a pioneering training institution designed to bridge the technical skills gap in electrical and solar energy across East Africa. Under his leadership, Adeskills has established partnerships with TVETs, vocational centres, and development organisations, delivering industry-aligned, hands-on curricula to the next generation of clean energy professionals.
On the international stage, Raziq was selected as an instructor representative for the Franco-Kenyan ADESK Cooperation Project — a prestigious initiative funded by the Embassy of France in Kenya and managed by France Education International, the cooperation agency of the French Ministry of National Education. In January 2025, he completed 240 hours of advanced training in Sèvres, France, gaining internationally recognised competencies in photovoltaic installation, educational engineering, and digital learning technologies including XROA, H5P, and the Moodle platform.
His local career spans roles at GAP Electric Co Ltd (2001–2018), The Toolkit Skills & Innovation Hub (2018–2023), and Gosse Electrical Co Ltd (2023–2024) — a trajectory marked by progressive leadership, technical excellence, and a consistent dedication to mentoring and workforce development. He holds qualifications from Zetech University, Strathmore Energy Research Center, OSH Academy, and Honoris United University, among others.
Conceptualised and launched Adeskills Kenya to bridge the skills gap in electrical and solar installation. Designed experiential training curricula aligned to local market needs and global standards. Built collaborations with TVETs, vocational centres, and development partners. Leads fundraising, proposal writing, strategic planning, and public advocacy for youth empowerment in the technical trades.
In January 2025, completed an intensive 240-hour international instructor training programme in France under the Franco-Kenyan ADESK Cooperation Project, funded by the Embassy of France in Kenya and managed by France Education International — covering photovoltaic systems, augmented reality in electrical engineering, and the creation of online solar training modules using XROA, H5P, and Moodle.
Conducted site assessments and feasibility analyses for solar installations. Provided customer education and consultation, generating leads and developing proposals tailored to client needs. Maintained compliance documentation and collaborated with installation teams to deliver end-to-end project success.
Led teams on complex solar installation projects — mounting panels, installing racking systems, running wiring, and configuring inverters. Developed and executed work schedules, managed resources, enforced safety procedures, and designed workplace-based technical training programmes. Delivered regular project reports and performance monitoring.
Seventeen years developing and implementing installation designs across diverse projects. Built and led high-performing installation teams, providing ongoing training and mentorship. Specialised in circuitry and wiring, fault diagnosis, troubleshooting, and interpreting electrical schematics and blueprints.
Whether you are looking for a seasoned electrical and solar technician, a training partner, or a collaborator on clean energy initiatives — I would love to hear from you.
